homemade animal friendly soap

I like to make my own soaps. This is a cheap way to protect your environment and be positive about the contents of your soap. No plastic is wasted and no pollution created during production.

you need:
vegetable glycerin bar (to be melted down)
any essential oil you desire
soap dye (you can find it at michaels or similar craft stores)
molds *mine are squares that i get to stamp and design myself...you can get shapes and
decorative accessories at the craft store.

heat the glycerin bar in a double boiler until completely melted. drop a few drops of the dye and oils in. pour into molds. let sit maybe 2 hours, until solid. and you have soap!!!

to do different scents and/or colors for each soap mold, just pour the glycerin in the molds and then do each drop separately. easy easy.

these make for great gifts.
